Dr Leisha Weissenberger

Dr Leisha is a warm and attentive Doctor. She takes a thorough, careful approach to the care of her patients. Dr Leisha believes that by taking time, and building a relationship based on trust, the health and wellbeing of her patients can be optimised.
Dr Leisha has a special interest in women’s health and enjoys helping women navigate the intricate balance of health, hormones, relationships, fertility and life-stage changes. Dr Leisha also performs iron infusions, ear microsuction, skin checks / biopsy, as well as Implanon and IUD removal and insertion, (Mirena, Kyleena and Copper devices,) in the comfort of our state-of-the-art clinic.
Dr Leisha completed her medical degree at Bond University and underwent her hospital training at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital. She is a fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP) and has also completed her Diploma in Obstetrics and Gynaecology.
Dr Leisha generally requires that you make a long appointment for your initial consultation so she can get to know you, prioritise your current concerns, and formulate an ongoing preventative health plan. For subsequent consultations, she recommends a standard appointment for 1-2 simple issues, and a long appointment for more than two issues or one complex issue (I.e. mental health, long-standing / multiple related symptoms.)
Dr Leisha currently works three days a week. In her personal life, she is passionate about health and fitness, and loves exploring new places with her husband and two young children.
