To make an appointment with one of our doctors you can either book online or call us on (07) 3229 9355.
If you are a new patient and you book online, please note that one of our receptionists will call you to confirm your appointment. We ask that you arrive at Queen St Medical Centre 15 minutes prior to your consultation time to complete a “New Patient” form.
Given our Brisbane CBD location, many of our patients make appointments during work hours and before or after work. We appreciate the need to stay on time and ask that you help us to do this by booking an appointment time appropriate to the items you need to discuss with your GP. Our standard appointment time is 15 minutes. A standard consultation would be suitable if you have 1-2 items to discuss with the doctor. Examples of appointments requiring 15 minutes include:
- Cold or Flu
- Urinary Tract Infection
- Ear Infection
- Minor Injury
- Sore eye
- Blood Pressure Review
- Cervical cancer screening test (previously a Pap Smear)
If you have a complex item or more than two items to discuss with your GP, please book a long appointment (30 minutes). The following appointments require a 30 minute booking.
- Skin Checks
- Skin Excisions
- Cervical cancer screening test + other items
- Implanon Insertion or Removal
- Mental Health Care Plans
- Travel related consultations
- Post natal check up
- Newborn check up and immunisations (6 weeks old)
- Medicals (Employment, Insurance)
If you cannot make your appointment, we ask that you provide at least 2 hours notice.
